Our employees and organization all believes in what we are doing everyday and look forward to enriching the lives of their clients.
At Journey, we provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for adults who need assistance during the day. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for our participants by offering a variety of activities and services tailored to their individual needs.
Journey Adult Day Program is guided by the belief that adults with disabilities deserve the opportunity to lead fulfilling and independent lives. We are dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to reach their full potential by providing a supportive and inclusive environment.
Provide a community-based day program that serves adults with severe behavior disorders and/or dual diagnosis who, because of their behavior problems and medical needs, are not eligible for or acceptable in any other community-based day program.
Provide basic instruction in essential life skills, including budgeting, public transportation, health and safety, independent living, and social recreation. This training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills they need to live more independently.
Facilitate community integration through outings and activities to various locations, such as grocery stores, job sites, libraries, laundry mats, thrift stores, and dollar stores. These experiences aim to help individuals with disabilities become active and engaged members of their community.
Address and manage behavioral and emotional issues that may hinder skill acquisition. Our program employs a structured approach to support participants in overcoming these challenges, fostering personal growth.
Teach self-advocacy skills to individuals with significant cognitive and physical disabilities. By enhancing their ability to express their needs and preferences, participants can gain greater independence and autonomy in society.
To assist adults with disabilities in acquiring and improving essential life skills, enabling them to lead more independent lives.
To actively engage participants in their local community through outings and experiences that promote inclusion and social interaction.

1. Increased Independence: Participants are likely to experience increased independence in their daily lives as they acquire and enhance essential life skills, such as budgeting, using public transportation, and performing daily living tasks. This increased independence can lead to greater self- sufficiency.
Measurement: Percentage increase in the successful completion of independent daily living tasks (e.g., cooking a meal, using public transportation, managing personal finances).
Example: Participants will demonstrate a 25% increase in their ability to independently perform daily living tasks within six months of program participation.
2. Improved Community Integration: Through community outings and experiences, program participants are expected to become more actively involved in their local community. They may develop a sense of belonging and social connection, fostering a richer social life.
Measurement: Number of community outings and social activities attended per month. Example: Participants will engage in a minimum of two community outings or social activities per week, compared to baseline data.
3. Enhanced Life Skills: The educational training provided by the program equips participants with practical knowledge and skills necessary for daily living. This includes managing finances, maintaining good health and safety practices, and engaging in recreational activities, all of which contribute to a higher quality of life.
The men and women of the Journey team are passionate about their clients and providing them with everything they could possibly need.
